Believe it or not, it has been seven years since I closed my Sports Autographs Page.  While cleaning some old hard drives, I found the remnants of my web site and decided to upload it back on the Internet.  Here you will find all of my successes and failures along with over 8800 scanned images of autographs from a wide range of sports.

By viewing this web site, you acknowledge that some of the addresses listed are out of date and may be inaccurate, and that the information and images shown are for educational purposes only.

Good luck to you all, and happy collecting!

CUTTING DOWN ON COLLECTING

For over twenty years, I've been collecting autographs.  I started with hockey, but worked my way to collect pretty much all sports.  In recent years, I have been receiving less and less successes from most sports.  Since I hand write all of my letters, this takes up quite a bit of my time.  I have decided to stick mainly to hockey, which is my first love, but even the NHL players have been less than willing to sign anymore.  In the end, it's no fun when you send out all of these requests and get very little in return.  The joy of collecting is waining and I would rather put my efforts elsewhere.  I will continue to update my web site as best as I can.  Thank you for your understanding!

Twitter

I have finally entered the Twenty-First Century by joining Twitter. Now you will be able to get updates right away about what I have received in the mail and what is going on with my web site.  I'm new to all this, so please bear with me if I don't quite do the tweets right at first.  I'm sure I'll get the hang of it eventually...

SLOW BUT SURE UPDATES

About 1150 envelopes to go through in this box...

Sorry that it has taken so long for me to update my web site, I apologize.  Things have been quite busy for me all summer and I was simply unable to find the time to keep up with all the successes and failures that have been coming in.  As you can see by the photo above, I have quite a few envelopes to go through (approximately 1100), so it may take a while for me to get all caught up!

COLLECTION SLOWLY GETTING ORGANIZED

FROM THIS... ...TO THIS
FROM THIS... ...TO THIS

I have also been busy organizing some of my autographs. After years of just putting them in a pile, I have decided to put them in plastic pages and organize them into binders.  The first one I am working on is my NHL Draft Picks, from 2010 to 2014.  The book is starting to fill up and is looking very good, so hopefully when I have some more time, I can do some of the other sports.

EVEN THE BORDER GUARD COLLECTS AUTOGRAPHS

Mike Modano - Dallas Stars
On my last trip down to Grand Forks, North Dakota to drop-off and pick-up my mail, I had to stop at the Emerson border crossing on my way back to Winnipeg.  The guard asked me the usually questions, then asked if I was bringing anything back.  I told him that I was bringing back my mail, and he asked what that was about.  I always seem to have to explain that I collect sports autographs and it is cheaper for me to mail it in the United States, but once I mentioned I collected hockey autographs, his eyes lit up.  He explained that he collected hockey autographs as well, and that he got hooked when he bought a Mike Modano 8x10 photo in Grand Forks for $2 and decided to mail it to him to see if he would sign it.  He said that it took a while to get it back, but he now has it framed on his wall! He talked to me for at least fifteen minutes about collecting, before he had to let me go as the cars were starting to pile up behind me.

Hello, my name is Mac Maroon and I would like to welcome you to my sports autographs web site.  I have been collecting "through the mail" off and on for the last twelve years now.  The reason why I set up this site was to show which players sign through the mail, and which ones don't.

Visit my various SUCCESS pages and see which players were nice enough to take the time and sign for me. I sent each of them two 3x5 index cards to sign. You can take a look at the autographs by clicking on each players name.

Go take a look at my FAILURES page and see which players were too busy to sign. I realize that some players don't have the time to sign for their fans, so I understand, but it still is disappointing.

Are you looking for the team address of your favorite player? Why not stop by the ADDRESSES page where I have listed the addresses to many baseball, basketball, football, and hockey leagues, as well as addresses for golf and auto racing.

Check out the newest page, where you can find LINKS to related sports and autograph web sites.   You can even add your own!

Why not join CLUB MAC to post your successes, failures, addresses, news, tips, or anything else relating to autograph collecting.

Have a question about collecting sports autographs you would like answered? Why not check out the ASK MAC page, where I have listed the most frequently asked questions, and have answered them to the best of my ability!

Grab a five year old "National Geographic" magazine and visit the WAITING ROOM to see the players I am waiting to hear from. Hopefully they are on their way, and not lost in the mail.

Thank you very much for visiting my site. I hope that you enjoy your time here.

To the best of my knowledge, the information contained on this web site is as correct as possible.  I collect autographs for fun but I am not an expert, so please inform me if you find any inaccuracies. Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Some of the scanned photos and index cards found on this web site have been digitally altered.  This was done to clean up some of the bends and folds that occurred in the mail. I hope you will understand.

I am sorry to say that I do not have any home addresses of athletes or celebrities.  Almost all of my successes have come from using the addresses found on my web site.  Thank you!
